October 9, 2001 - Ely Smith joins the group
Ely Smith joined the group on October 9th, 2001. This marks a grand return of estrogen to the stage. We are very pleased to have Ely in the group and look forward to her every contribution. Yes we know that she spells her name Ellie formally, but this is her stage spelling so relax.
September 26, 2001 - September 18th and 25th Shows
All monies collected in the tip jar for both shows were donated to the American Red Cross disaster relief fund. We are proud to report that the 18th show set a record at $162.20 which was promptly broken by the show on the 25th with a take of $183.65. Even better was that Patrick Sullivan's matched with $100.00 for the 25th. So our grand total to the Disaster Relief Fund was $445.85. Thank you all for your contributions and thanks to Sean and Frank for the match.
September 10, 2001 - Memphis Comedy Festival Big Success
The Festival was a huge success. We made new friends, reaffirmed old enemies and helped to make Beale street sticky two nights in a row. Many thanks to Greg Childers of Vertical Imbalance and The Historic Daisy Theatre for hosting the event.
August 20, 2001 - Friday & Saturday, September 7th and 8th, 2001 Memphis Comedy Festival
The boys are taking their show on the road. That's right in September we are going to Memphis to participate in the first Memphis Comedy Festival. The festival is a benefit for Multiple Sclerosis, all proceeds being donated to the local Multiple Sclerosis Society in Memphis. Check out the link at Memphis Comedy Festival. In case you need to know where the festival is look at the Historic Daisy Theatre at 329 Beale Street. That's right, we're bringing comedy to the home of the blues.
